These exciting programs will benefit students in grades 3 to 12 interested in exploring their passions and future fields of study. Students will gain a sense of curiosity and love of learning. They will take away a greater sense of direction, self-confidence, and leadership in their desired area of focus. Course offerings include S.T.E.A.M. programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), athletics, theater, finance, and entrepreneurship. SHIELD offerings stand out for their wide variety of unique offerings.

Level Up Village’s mission is to globalize the classroom and facilitate seamless collaboration between students from around the world via pioneering Global STEAM (STEM + Arts) enrichment courses.  In each course, connect your students with peers in other countries – students exchange video letters with their global partner students and collaborate on projects.  By partnering with us, schools also sponsor STEAM education in the developing world through our “Take a Class, Give a Class” model.

  • SAT Prep

    Tuesday's 3 to 5 p.m. for 7 weeks
    $349 - (grades 9-12)
    Have you heard? A redesigned SAT format was recently launched!  We will make sure students know what to expect. Teachers will provide instruction in critical reading, math and test taking strategies. Students will use prep materials generated from the College Board, the makers of the new SAT.   • C.S.I. Forensic

    Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    Grades 5-9, $399
    In this week-long course, we'll learn how forensic science is really used to solve crimes! We'll take a hands-on look at several of the basic techniques in forensic science. We'll also learn along the way about the cutting-edge science behind forensic investigation and some of the ways that forensic investigations are done that most of us don't already know about from primetime TV.  At the end of the week, we'll put together all of the techniques and knowledge we've gained to find the right suspect in a crime story of our own!

  • Comic Book Creation

    Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    Grades 7 to 12, $399
    Students in this course will learn the essential techniques for successful visual storytelling. Subjects like composition, panel layout, timing, and reference will be covered. The positions of penciler, inker, and colorist will also be explored. Kent will share his experience in web comics and breaking into mainstream comics, and will prepare students to do the same. Assignments throughout the course will result in a number of sequential pages to use in a portfolio. This course is beneficial for any artist looking to work in mainstream comics, create their own self-published comic, or create a web comic.

  • Intro to Robotics Workshop

    Grades 5-8, $399
    Ever build your own working robot! Campers use creative problem solving skills as they learn how to program robots to respond to their environment and solve tasks using the NXT-G programming language and the LEGO Mindstorms TM NXT platform.  In this one week program, campers will create a robot and program it to drive through a variety of exciting obstacle courses. No prior experience is required.

    UK Elite, who is the leading soccer provider in Massachusetts, is using their international background to bring international sports to local players.  Each day will have a fun balance of instruction and play.  A taste of sports that will be played at camp include, but are not limited to:  touch rugby, cricket, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, handball, basketball, floor hockey, capture the flag, volleyball, badminton, etc.  All UKE staff are licensed professionals that are trained and have a passion to coaching the youth player.

    In 3D Game Development, you’ll design and code your own 3D Game just like they do in real Game Design studios!     Invention Project enables your 6th–9th grader the chance to explore the edges of innovation and imagine the possibilities through dreaming, designing, engineering, and making. Participants can team up to invent ways to light up their lockers, or maybe even light up an entire continent! Young innovators are challenged to create new, original inventions, but they must also consider principles of business, such as rapid prototyping, market research, shipping, and profit.

    This developmental lacrosse clinic for boys and girls will be coached by members of the CroART coaching staff along with members of the Boston Cannons Organization.     Engineers are in high demand in our workforce and engineering majors are finding high paying jobs right out of college.

    This Engineering course introduces students to complex problem solving, evaluating alternative designs, and the Engineering Design Process.   • Principles of Aviation

    In this week-long course, students will come to understand the basic principles of flight and the various purposes we use aircraft for in modern society. Once we have some basic ideas, we’ll use the principles of aerospace engineering to modify gliders to improve their capability for a set task (such as performance of aerial maneuvers or maximization of gliding distance). At the end of the week, we will visit Alpha One Flight School at the Plymouth Airport for classroom exercises, use of the flight simulator, and take an actual flight in one of their many airplanes (additional cost applies).

    In our Global Web Designers, students will team up with a global partner from a developing country to design and create a website focused on solutions to global climate change. By learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, students will develop a shared final social awareness project: a website centered on current environmental solutions within their own countries, with portions devoted to each other’s cultures and fun hobbies. While learning about hydro, wind, and solar power, they will touch on statistics in order to understand trends in global climate change. Students will leave the class with a clear understanding of website development and problem solving from a global perspective.
