Larry Simpson is entering his fifth season as an Assistant Coach with the Boy’s Lacrosse Team. During that time, the team has amassed a regular season record of 55-17 including an undefeated 17-0, 2017 season that resulted in the 1st Conference Championship in program history. As the Defensive Coordinator, Sacred Heart has ranked #1 for the lowest Goals Against Average (GAA) in the State for the past three consecutive years and finished in the Top 10 in the country for GAA during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Simpson coached his son, Loren, who was a three-time BOSTON GLOBE All-Star, a 2017 graduate and now attends Wheaton College of Massachusetts. Simpson is certified as a Level 3 coach from the US Lacrosse association. Prior to joining the Sacred Heart staff, he was head coach of the South Shore team for five years in the New England Select Lacrosse League and was the founding director of Lakeville Youth Lacrosse where he lives with his wife, Melissa Hopkins.
