Details: Welcome prospective Pokémon club parents, The Sacred Heart Pokémon club is being offered to allow your child to learn, participate and battle with others using “Pokémon The Card Game” decks as a developmental tool. Pokémon can be very useful teaching children to read and perform math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) while having fun at the same time. Good sportsmanship will also be an important part of this club. Humility in victory, grace in defeated.

There will be materials provided and club members are not required to bring anything except a positive attitude.

There are few topics that should be clearly stated in advance for your benefit and in setting expectations for potential club members. They are listed below:

Code of Conduct:

  • It is expected that clubs members behave in an appropriate manner. The following behavior is not permitted and offenders might not be allowed to participate in group activities:
  • Cheating
  • Stealing
  • Lack of courtesy for others
  • Lack of respect for others
  • A Club member may be asked to leave the group if they continually exhibit poor sportsmanship.

Pokémon cards do have a monetary value associated with them. All trades must be approved by me while club is in session. I will use a card pricing guide to ensure equitable trades occur. This is to ensure that less informed club members are not taken advantage both those who have a better understanding of the game and card values.

*** A parent questionnaire is attached to this email, please print and submit with your child’s registration form.
