In an effort to encourage personal reading, all Sixth Grade students are asked to have a personal reading book at all times.  We are sharing recommended books during English class,  hoping to create an interest in a new author or genre.  We are creating an amazing recommended book wall for all to use when thinking about that next book to read! What better way to find that next great book than from a friend?
Encourage quiet reading time at home, together we can create lifetime readers!
The start of the new year is a perfect time to restock your:
    • pens
    • sharpened pencils
    • correcting pens
    • highlighters
    • notebooks
(please note: the use of white-out is discouraged in school)

Also, take time to clean out folders and backpacks!
Don’t want to throw away papers?  You don’t have to!  A great strategy to ease the stress of whether to throw away or not: designate a box or crate to clean out folders into.  Don’t throw away until the end of the year!
