Señora Balaschi is keeping the magic of an Hispanic Christmas alive here at SHES with a celebration of ¡Día de los Tres Reyes Magos! or Three Kings Day.
In Spanish speaking countries, Día de los Tres Reyes Magos on January 6th, is the most significant day of giving and receiving gifts. The tradition is to leave one's shoes out on the evening of the 5th in hopes that the Kings will bring a gift as they did for the Christ Child so long ago.
As has become tradition here at Sacred Heart Elementary School, students, once again, left their shoes in the auditorium in hopes that the Tres Reyes (Three Kings) will drop a small gift in each.
Thank you to Señora Balaschi for teaching us the magic of an Hispanic Christmas!
