Winter Sports Kick-Off After A Very Successful Fall for the Saints

All seven of the school’s varsity teams made it to the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) State Tournament.

Girls’ Volleyball and Girls’ Soccer teams both took first place in the Mayflower League. The Sacred Heart Varsity Golf Team won the league match at Acushnet River Valley Golf course, with freshman John Webster taking home the league’s highest individual honor by shooting a 72.
The Sacred Heart Varsity Football Team also took its first tournament game, besting Old Colony with a 27-8 win.
“Congratulations to all our student-athletes this remarkable fall season and a special thanks to Athletic Director Bob Duquette and Marie Bruninghaus for all they do to ensure all have the opportunity to participate in a highly successful educational athletic program,” said Sacred Heart President Sister Myra Rodgers, CDP.
