Due to ongoing budget deficits and declining enrollment, Sacred Heart will discontinue grades 9-12 at the end of this school year. The Early Childhood Center and Elementary School will continue to operate.
In a letter to the Sacred Heart community on February 6th, Sister Michele Bisbey stated, "It is with very heavy hearts, and after a careful and thorough review, that we have decided to discontinue operating Sacred Heart High School (9-12) and to move ahead with a stronger preschool through 8th grade elementary school beginning with the 2020-2021 school year. This has been an extremely difficult decision to make. We have spent well over a year trying to forge alliances and partnerships with other Catholic institutions, but in the end were unsuccessful. We trust that the current plan will best enable us to strengthen Sacred Heart – academically, financially, and socially – for our students and families as we continue to build and grow our preschool – 8 th grade school faith community."
