Sophomores and juniors in Mrs. Dick's Advanced Placement English Language class wrote letters to the editors of local newspapers at the end of the school year. Letters were published in the Cape Cod Times, the Middleboro Gazette, the Bourne Enterprise, and other papers.
Students weighed in on issues ranging from extending the vote to 16-year-olds to banning plastic bags at grocery checkouts. The example included here addresses a proposed restriction on the sale of tobacco products in Middleborough. It's great to see our students making their voices heard - well done!
