Mission Brings Help to Hurricane Victims

Some Sacred Heart students recently completed a service trip to the Florida panhandle to help residents who are still recovering from last year's Hurricane Michael.

Sacred Heart High School Religious Studies Teacher Patricia Gillespie led a group of volunteers on the service trip organized by Mission850 to help residents clean up debris still left behind from the devastating hurricane. Mission850 has brought more than 200 groups of volunteers to the area since Hurricane Michael struck the panhandle. Sacred Heart students along with other teens from Alabama spent four days cleaning up debris. Their efforts were featured on the local news.
