Sophomore Class Retreat Focuses on Service

Last week, at the annual retreat for our sophomore class, students both learned and lived the theme of "service." The retreat focused on the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy.
Along with guest speakers William Sevitelle and Olivia Colombo, Fr. Sinisa continued this theme with a message of the importance of service to others, especially for eternal salvation.

As Jesus says in Matthew chapter 25 verse 40, “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” In other words, we are all equal in God’s eyes. By helping others, you truly are helping Jesus, and your bond with Him becomes even stronger.

The Peer Ministers helped run the retreat which included a group breakfast, witness talks, group activities, mass with Fr. Sinisa, and community service. The weather was beautiful and the students helped around the school grounds as well as helping Sr. Julia at the Providence House. The day ended with a group kickball game. God is good!
