Freshman Forward

Freshman year is the ideal time to strengthen skills and broaden experiences both in and out of school. Through meetings and discussions with Guidance staff Sacred Heart students prepare to make informed decisions regarding further education and career goals. Throughout freshman year, guidance staff continues to evaluate individual progress and review new information to improve student outcome.
Grade 9
Freshman Forward – The foundation is laid as we:
  • Faciliate course selection
  • Develop a personalized four-year education plan
  • Evaluate academic progress
  • Administer the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) to assess academic potential
  • Guidance staff administers the PSAT and also meet individually with students to discuss testing results
