Band Program

Sacred Heart partners with Paul Elfman music to offer an Elementary & Middle/High School band program to students in Grade 4-12. Students practive weekly and can choose from a wide variety instruments like, the saxophone, french horn, drums, clarinet, flute, and more! The instruction culminates with a great Spring concert!

High School Liturgical Choir

Our High School Music Program consists of our Liturgical Choir, comprised of students from Grades 7-12 coming together to lead at all of our school liturgies. Through traditional and more contemporary praise and worship songs, our student body learns the meaning of praising through song and a deeper appreciation of the gift of music that we have all been given.

Elementary School Chorus

The Chorus is open to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. Rehearsals take place Monday and Thursday afternoons after school from 2:30 – 3:45 pm. No auditions are required, however, students are asked to make a commitment to attend at least one rehearsal per week and to participate in the Christmas and Spring Concerts.

All Chorus members are eligible to audition for Concert solo opportunities. All arts are represented through student participation in Concerts: choreography, dance, drama, graphic design, and instrumental music. The Music Director collaborates with the Art and Spanish departments on set design and Spanish song diction and pronunciation.

The chorus participates in community outreach representing Sacred Heart Schools. In the past, they have performed in the community at Sisters of Divine Providence Convent, Macy’s at the Kingston Mall and the Barnes & Noble Bookstore at the Derby Street Mall in Hingham.

High School Theater

Sacred Heart High School’s MAIN STAGE program is extra-curricular in design allowing students who are interested in the art of dramatic performance a chance to be part of a production. The shows are, generally, large in scale and offer an opportunity for just about anyone who is interested in joining the cast.

Elementary School / Priscilla Beach Theatre

For the last two years we've partnered with the Priscilla Beach Theatre Company to offer our elementary school students the unique opportunity put on a production led by professional directors and actors. Last year's play was Charlotte's Web performed live at the Priscilla Beach Theatre itself!

Speech and Debate

We're proud of our nationally recognized speech and debate team. The team competes in tournaments all over the country and region. Students compete in Debate or any of several catgories of speech like, Declamation, Poetry Reading, Dramatic Prose, and others. We're proud to have several State Champions and Nationally Ranked competitors!
